salam and greetings.. sorry for not writing.. i've been busy with alot of stuff which includes work and self development. it has not been easy to write also, coz i like to arrange it properly (so that readers can read it easily) and i loved to put up screenshots related to the thing i do. (and i know you all love to see 'em). that's time consuming and i dont have that much time... and i'm confuse about which of the project to put first! hehe. crazy.. but thats what happen. since i have my own room, i can easily do my stuff without disturbance (well, sometimes you want to have em also.. its kinda bored coz u only talk to the screen). oh well, just to remind you guys that its the second day of Ramadhan now and i'm fasting. so friends.. sorry but you can only join me for dinner! :) don't worry.. all the midnite blues can still go on.. ;) projects update the only problem i had was about the DRIVER. the CDs that comes with the printer only includes the driver for Windows 98-XP and MacOS 9, no drivers for Mac OS X and there was no guide whatsoever that tells you how to make it work with Panther. I went to the internet in search of guides until i found someone posting the same question inside a forum called ALLOSX.com (sorry, but the site seems down). a user replied by saying that the driver is located in the Panther CD #3. but hey.. i got a Panther DVD installer instead. after extending my search i found out that its also located in the Panther Software Installation DVD #1. to get the driver, follow the steps below: 1. click on Finder's GO menu, 2. select GOTO FOLDER, then 3. type in "/volumes/{name of the DVD, usually iMac Software}/System/Installation/Packages" 4. the driver is called EpsonPrinterDrivers2.pkg. 5. click on the file to install it. 6. proceed with the normal printer installation for Mac OS X. links of the day Apcupsd is a daemon for controlling APC UPSes. its a multiplatform service; works on various distribution of Linux, Solaris, BSD UNIXes, HP/UX, Darwin and Windows too. the software will inform the user if there is a power failure and that a shutdown may occur and will shutdown when the battery (of the UPS) is exhausted.
